Solo
A solo is a wonderful opportunity for dancers to showcase their individual talent, technique, and performance skills. Solo routines provide one-on-one instruction, allowing dancers to receive personalized coaching and focus on reaching their personal goals.
Dancers may choose their own music if desired, subject to instructor approval to ensure it is age-appropriate and suitable for competition. If preferred, the instructor can also help select music that best fits the dancer's strengths and style.
Costumes will be chosen with input from both the dancer and instructor to create a performance that reflects the routine while meeting competition guidelines.
Because solos require additional preparation, dancers are expected to attend all scheduled private lessons, practice consistently outside of rehearsals, and come prepared to each lesson. Dedication, responsibility, and a strong work ethic are key to a successful solo season.
A solo is an excellent way for dancers to build confidence, improve technique, develop artistry, and gain valuable performance experience while challenging themselves to grow as individuals.
Competing a solo is completely optional. If you would like your dancer to compete their solo, please let us know during registration.

A duo gives two dancers the opportunity to perform together while building teamwork, confidence, and performance skills. Duos allow dancers to receive personalized instruction and work closely with a partner to create a polished and engaging routine.
Dancers are welcome to choose their own partner. If a dancer is interested in performing a duo but does not have a partner, the studio will do its best to help find a suitable match.
